We are seeking an exclusive Accounting In-Residence partner for a two year term (January 2025 – December 2026) with the opportunity to renew. This partnership aims to support high-growth startups across Saskatchewan with essential accounting services, helping them navigate the complex financial landscape and focus on growing their businesses.

Since 2019, Cultivator has supported 130+ founders in Saskatchewan, connecting them with the expertise and resources they need to grow. We would like to extend our heartfelt thank you to MNP for their incredible partnership during the current term, which concludes at the end of December 2024. Their dedication and support have been instrumental in helping our startups thrive. As we look to continue this work in 2025 and beyond, we are opening the door for a new or renewed accounting partner. This is an exciting opportunity to collaborate with us to ensure we continue delivering the highest level of support to our growing startup community.

What We're Looking For

We are seeking an accounting partner with deep roots in Saskatchewan who can provide the following services to Cultivator GROW and SCALE companies:

  • T2 Corporate Income Tax Filing & Tax Services
  • Cloud-based Accounting and Bookkeeping Services
  • Unaudited Financial Statements & Financial Reporting
  • SR&ED Preparation
  • Additional services as needed to support the diverse needs of our high-growth companies

Program Contribution

Cultivator is seeking $10,000 in annual support to directly support programming that strengthens our founders and equips our founders to succeed. This contribution will be used exclusively for Cultivator’s program initiatives, ensuring that our founders have access to the resources and expertise they need to succeed.

By investing in this programming, partners play a key role in developing resilient, high-potential founders, all while growing your firm’s presence and client base in a dynamic startup ecosystem.

What We Offer to You

In addition to directly supporting our programming, the Accounting In-Residence partner will receive several benefits:

  • Funnel of Clients – Access to high-potential, early-stage companies with long-term growth potential.
  • Recognition & Brand Exposure – Recognition across multiple channels, including digital TV screens in the Cultivator HQ, social media, website, and impact reports, along with a press release and news story announcing the partnership
  • Thought Leadership Opportunities – Present at cohort sessions or lunch-and-learns with Cultivator companies.
  • Networking Opportunities – Engage with the broader startup ecosystem, including key connections at Cultivator and events like Startup Summit and 24-Hour Startup.
  • First Right of Refusal for Sponsorships – Priority for sponsorships at Cultivator events or other partner opportunities.

What Will Help You Stand Out

In addition, our ideal partner will bring:

  • In-Kind or Discounted Services – Opportunities to provide pre-set, discounted or in-kind services to Cultivator GROW and SCALE companies.
  • Experience working with high-growth tech startups.
  • Clear price and service transparency – clear communication about services in-scope for discounts or in-kind and what will incur additional costs.
  • Community involvement – attending Cultivator events, sponsoring ecosystem events like Startup Summit, and offering expertise to early-stage programming.
  • A focus or interest in agriculture is an asset, especially with our National AGTECH ACCELERATOR program, which while it operates outside the scope of the Accounting In-Residence agreement, still offers opportunities for connections.
