Global Agtech Summit returns to Canada’s Farm Show!

Buckle up, ag enthusiasts! The Global Agtech Summit at Canada’s Farm Show just wrapped up on June 19, 2024, and was the place to be for farmers, startups and innovators alike. This full-day summit brought founders, investors and guest speakers from across North America, Brazil and the UK to the Launch Pad Stage.

Cultivator set the stage for a showcase of cutting-edge agtech where the world-class stage hosted a lineup of international speakers, innovative farmers, and exciting product launches. Canada’s Farm Show buzzed with excitement as funders, founders and farmers connected. It was like Silicon Valley met the prairies. 

The Global Agtech Summit served insights from different corners of the world, where attendees had the privilege to learn about the latest agtech innovations directly from industry leaders. The insights gained from these visionaries encouraged the shaping of the future of agriculture.

But the real showstopper? The AGTECH ACCELERATOR Demo Day. Fifteen of the most promising agtech startups from around the world, including homegrown talent from Saskatchewan, took the stage. They pitched their innovations, showcasing Regina’s growing reputation as an agtech hub. The AGTECH ACCELERATOR Demo Day concludes the founders’ 12-week program and is the finale event everyone looks forward to watching!

Each company was introduced by a partner and special stakeholder of the AGTECH ACCELERATOR program. This elevated the atmosphere even further, as these influential figures lent their support and endorsement to the innovative startups, amplifying their chances of success.

It was an international affair as founders traveled from far and wide, representing Canada and the United Kingdom, to deliver their compelling pitches at the summit. But the excitement didn’t stop there! The audience had the chance to be actively involved by participating in the voting for the People’s Choice Award. Insporos, co-founded in Vancouver, BC by Mallory Flynn and Amanda Ackroyd, took home the coveted prize.

The AGTECH ACCELERATOR Demo Day was a thrilling showcase of innovation and entrepreneurial brilliance, leaving everyone on the edge of their seats. These founders took the stage and planted seeds of innovation that will grow into the future of farming and agriculture in Saskatchewan.
