All 12 of these fresh-faced startups are taking part in three months of programming where they have access to mentors, resources, and workshops to take their minimum viable products to the next level. Each founder will pitch their company at the START Cohort 6 Demo Day on April 28 for a chance to win $10,000.

GiDu
GiDu is a design company that focuses on augmented and virtual reality content. Restaurant customers are mostly unable to get a perfect picture and information about their meal/drink without some form of one-on-one interaction with waiters. Gidu is developing technology to avoid this painful process with a visual menu.
Kilo Lima Code
The Canadian Construction Codes (Building, Fire, Energy and Plumbing) are difficult to find and cumbersome to navigate. The codes, particularly the building code, are disorganized, a riddle to read, and time-consuming to navigate. Kilo Lima Code is working to educate, organize, and streamline this process.
Barnstorm Agtech
Lost time in the field is the #1 threat to a farmer’s success. Barnstorm Agtech is developing a robotic swarm farming platform for precision and powered deployment of farm technology.

Growing quality cannabis demands perfection. SMB’s & personal growers obsess over numerous factors to create the perfect growing environment but often lack the tools to do so properly. Online coaches experience an extraordinarily high churn rate due to “the practice problem”. ZeroDegrees is working to alleviate this issue by providing a virtual practice-feedback space for coaches to engage with their clients.

Average golfers are looking for an easily accessible, affordable golf app that provides the resources golfers need to keep track of yardages, scoring, wagering, wager settlement, side games, and all the rules tracked for you in one App. VogeyGolf is working to provide all of that, in one easy-to-access place.

The guidelines established for environmental monitoring are based on data. Relevant environmental data is limited and difficult to find. Earthworks is an environmental services venture building a web application for environmental monitoring to help elevate and preserve natural resources and the environment.

The cost of heating and cooling in any building envelope, along with the environmental impacts of each of our carbon footprints is a topic that must be top of mind for everyone to ensure a prosperous future for our world. ReactiveEco is offering a complete automated software solution to home/commercial windows, curtains, and blinds using a machine learning algorithm to save energy.
